The Launch Kit: Ready-to-Share Invite Materials for Every Community Admin

Inviting other families is the step that slows most new carpool communities. The Launch Kit shortcuts it: six ready-to-use materials, personalized for your community, generated in seconds.

Six templates

Each one is tailored with your community name, sign-up link, and a scannable QR code. Staff-led communities get their uploaded logo on every piece too; parent-led materials carry the community name only.

Template Best for
Group-chat text ClassDojo, WhatsApp, Discord (short enough to actually get read)
Parent email Parent mailing list, PTSA member list
Newsletter blurb Newsletters and bulletins
Social media graphic & caption Community's private Facebook group, class or activity Instagram
Printable flyer Bulletin boards, handouts
Yard sign Carpool lane, pickup/drop-off areas, building entrance

All six regenerate instantly when your sign-up link or community name changes.

Where to find it

  • Parent-led: Right after you create your community, and anytime later under Account.
  • Staff-led: Under Setup in the admin portal.

Parent-led vs. staff-led

Parent-led: The kit links to your community's sign-up page. Families click and join directly. Share it where only your families will see it: group chats, private Facebook groups, org email lists. Think twice about the yard sign here: anyone who can read it can join instantly, so it's not really a closed channel the way the others are. If a link ever does get out, admins can remove anyone who doesn't belong, or, for invite-only communities, rotate the join code to cut off further access (printed QR codes stop working too, so they'd need a reprint).

Staff-led: There's no community-wide join link. Access is invite-only, gated by verification against your records. The kit links to your interest form instead (your website's registration page, a simple form you set up, or whatever you already use). Paste it once and every template updates. The kit handles awareness and collects interest; verifying and inviting families happens in the portal; see The Staff Path. This is where the yard sign earns its place: the interest link grants no access on its own, so wide visibility is the point, and parents already waiting in the carpool line are exactly the audience you want.

Can I customize the templates?

Depends on the part.

  • Written copy: yours to edit. The parent email, group-chat text, newsletter blurb, and the social media caption are starting copy. Copy them out and edit however you like (the email and newsletter blurb also offer an HTML-formatted copy option).
  • Designed pieces: fixed. The printable flyer, the yard sign, and the social media graphic are generated ready to use, personalized by your community name, logo (staff-led), and link, which also becomes the QR code. Layout and wording can't be edited.

Want one in your school's own style? Copy your link or QR code into any design tool you already use. The link is the part that matters; the rest is presentation.

It takes two minutes

For parent-led communities, your name and invite link are already filled in. For staff-led communities, everything updates the moment you save your interest form link. Pick what you need, copy or download, done.
